The purpose of the Foundation is to raise funds through various means that will be used to support the youth athletes who participate in the athletic programs of Trussville Parks and Recreation. For families that might be faced with financial hardship, our purpose is to provide full or partial scholarships in the form of registration fees paid in behalf of those athletes, with any residual funds being used for the purchase of capital equipment for a given sport.
David was raised in Florence, Alabama where he graduated from Bradshaw High School, and subsequently from The University of Alabama in 1991. Over the 34 years since, David has been practiced in the financial planning industry. David is the Chief Executive Officer of Keystone Financial Group in Trussville, Alabama, and inSOURCE Financial Advisors in Lincoln, Nebraska. He’s lived in Trussville for over 29 years, and his son Brandon is a 2015 graduate of Hewitt Trussville High School.
For seventeen years, David coached various sports teams in the Trussville Parks and Recreation leagues. David’s vision for the Foundation was born in 2010, from a conviction that every child deserved the opportunity to play recreational team sports, regardless of a family’s given socio-economic challenges.
The Trussville Recreational Youth Sports Foundation (TRYS Foundation) is a 501 ( c )(3) Organization, based in Trussville, Alabama. The common thread of our Vision, Mission, and Purpose, is to economically support the youth athletes of Trussville, who find themselves in need of support due to financial hardship, so that every athlete may participate in the athletic offerings of Trussville Park and Recreation. Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible, and the funds raised will support the children of Trussville.
